What this site is

gulliverrestaurant.com is an independent archive about Gulliver's Restaurant, the English-inn prime rib house that operated at 18482 MacArthur Blvd in Irvine, California from 1970 until June 30, 2026. We built it so that people searching for Gulliver's find accurate information — first of all, that it has closed — along with a record of its history, food and menus.

What this site is not

We are not Gulliver's Restaurant, and we have no connection with its owners, staff or landlord. We do not take reservations, sell gift cards, accept job applications or speak for the restaurant. The restaurant's former web address was gulliversrestaurant.com (with an “s”); this site uses a different domain. See our disclaimer for details.

How we research

  • Facts about the closing come from published news reports, chiefly the Orange County Business Journal, which we link on the history page.
  • Menu items and descriptions are summarised from menus the restaurant published before closing. We have left out prices because they are no longer meaningful.
  • Descriptions of the dining rooms and dishes draw on the restaurant's own historical materials and public listings, rewritten in our words.
  • The prime rib guide is our own method, not the restaurant's recipe.

Every page shows the date it was last reviewed. If you spot an error, or you worked at or loved Gulliver's and have a memory or correction to share, please contact us. We correct mistakes promptly.

How the site is funded
